The Cluttered Room

Cluttered mind in turmoil
Scattered thoughts and fears
And regrets over love,
Lost and gained
And, like a room,
Full, with relics and memories
It must give way
To love, compassion and peace
__________

I wrote this for the Trifextra Week 36 Writing Challenge where we were required to write a composition using a metaphor or simile inspired by one of several photographs.

  8. Your words seemed to fit the picture perfectly--because really, don't most of our minds look like that? Except with more of those post-it notes.

  10. Not to be redundant but I'm going to be just that.... Yes! Cluttered minds look and feel like this especially over love, lost and gained. And our mind's room is filled with such things.

This makes me sad and happy all at once. Peace (of mind), for me, is priceless! Beautifully done, lumdog!

    1. Thank you so much Gina. You really hit the nail on the head. If I had a few more words to work with, I would have written pretty much what you said.
