Cluttered Head

I write because my head is cluttered with random thoughts and ideas; I’d go crazy trying to remember them and so I write a blog for peace of mind (and for cool feedback).

______________

I wrote this for Trifextra Week 40 where are are required to write about why we write in 33 words.

Your comments are appreciated.

    1. Thank you Christine. I couldn't think of anything clever or witty, so I just said what I felt. :)

  3. So true. I write more down to remember than I ever used to except a calendar. I have an exceptional memory that's fading fast. I liked the simplicity here!

    1. Yes, as memory fades, the cluttered thoughts increase exponentially! I feel compelled to write stuff down. Thanks Gina.

    1. True, it's just more of a necessity as you get older, per Gina's point. Thanks Carrie.

  7. I can't say how many times I've scrambled for paper and pen to prevent an idea from being lost in all the clutter of other ideas :)

    2. I HATE when that happens as I'm going to bed or sleeping. It freaks me out that it may be lost forever. Weird...

  10. So cluttered. I find I really am more focused when I'm writing regularly. Though my house seems to absorb the clutter.... Hmm.

    1. Ha! Reminds me that no mass disappears. It just exists in another form. My condo experieces the same phenomenon. And yes, writing often helps to focus for me too! Thanks Cameron.

  11. Hmmm just tried to comment and it told me that I did not own the identity. I just went from the WordPress.com to my own domain. I wonder if that is the problem.

Anyway, very honest post and I love how you worded it.

  13. I've found the instant feedback of commenting to be kind of like a drug. I've had to force myself to not publish to my blog the things that I want to try to polish and publish to a wider audience. It's so tempting to get the feedback of our trusted online communities, right? Nice take on the prompt, Lumdog.

    1. Thanks Trifecta. I don't have any time to write other stuff so right now, it's all about the blog. I guess from your comment that publishers won't accept pieces that have been put up on a blog?

  14. All those voices! I've stopped trying to remember what they tell me. Now, I keep a pad and pen on my night stand for those late night conversations.
